Is YouTuber an actual future job?

         YouTube has become a sensational platform in Indonesia, with the support of technology development, it makes people have easier access to this platform. YouTube is unique because this is a platform where the content was made for the people by the people, which allows creators to share their content in a broad audience. With YouTube, people can access and watch lots of videos inside of it, whether it is a funny video, travel video blog, movie trailers, music videos, and many more. People that access YouTube has the privilege of choosing what kind of video that they desire. It is different from the television where people can only switch between the channels, but they cannot determine the show that they want. In YouTube, people are free to choose the channel, the video, and they can subscribe to it so they will get updates from the channel.  For the content creator on YouTube, they can freely upload their content into YouTube (under norms and regulations of YouTube). In return, they will gain exposure from the number of viewers and subscribers.

             With the rise of YouTube popularity, it shifted today’s generation preferences about their future job. It proves with the fact that we are more familiar with “I want to be a YouTuber” rather than “I want to become a Doctor.” This phenomenon happened due to the change of lifestyle, nowadays children’s daily activities filled by watching videos from YouTube it’s either for their education purposes or entertainment, therefore it motivates them to be part of the community as well. It seems like people acknowledged the opportunity that YouTube provides, which to make a video then get paid, but the real question is, is YouTuber an actual future job?. The definition job itself is a paid position of a piece of work thus, this answers the eligibility to become a “job” since YouTuber does make money through Google Adsense where they can put a short advertisement in their videos or even solely promote it during the videos. Moreover, flexibility is very tempting because you don’t have to work from eight to five anymore because you could manage the working hours.

             Since everyone thinks that it was pretty easy to be a YouTuber, there are many things that people should take account. These videos that we have seen on YouTube, either the low-quality videos or great and beautiful videos, have a lot of process behind it. To create a video, first thing first a YouTuber must have the basic ability on shooting footage. They need to be able to record a video that they want. Not only to record a video, but YouTuber must have editing skills. After we shoot a video, we should be able to edit the video itself. Without editing, the video would be just raw. A good content creator does their editing well to make the videos good which aim to attract viewers. If the video passed the editing process, then we can upload it to our channel. Another thing that every YouTuber need to have is a creative mind. They need to be able to create many original contents to fulfill their subscriber needs and prove that they can sustain in this creative industry.            

             YouTube is a perfect platform for people to channel their creativity in the form of video. For the past years, YouTube already has tons of good YouTuber with its million subscribers. Both people and the content creator have their beneficial factors by using YouTube. People who watch it will be entertained and the content creator can get the money and the recognition they need. Although YouTube has produced lots of YouTuber, one thing that every people must notice. These YouTuber does not come out easily to become a famous content creator. It requires lots of skills, creativity, and they need to have a competitive mental to stay in business. Therefore, the answer is yes, Youtuber could be an actual future job as long as you commit because nothing comes off without hard work.

Moving the capital city? is it necessary?

Should we really move the capital city? There has been an emerging issue about the Government’s plan to move the capital city of Indonesia from Jakarta to East Kalimantan. Specifically, in between two regions, Kutai Kartanegara and Penajam Paser Utara.
